Re: SUP - 221 cm - David Doles (42221835)
Hi Mattaki,
thanks for your quick reply - and sorry that it took a couple of days for me to respond! It's great that your players are receiving training and your trainer level is good! However, I would suggest to switch to one position training. The results are better and your trainees get better way faster. And in order for David and especially Gary to reach their potential, you need to step up the training a bit. Right now, you're training your old players as well which is kind of a wasted effort since they're on the brink of getting worse because of their age.
You only have 4 young players so I would suggest to sell Brian Tweedie as he's got guard-size - and then you could let every player (David, Gary and David) play 48 minutes at Center. Then you could train them in inside scoring or switch to inside defense. If you want to continue (for now) to train two positions, I would suggest that you start training Rebound (as that's not possible to train on one position) or Jump shot (forwards) or 1on1 for forwards ...
Don't misunderstand me - I'm very happy that your players receive training and get good gameshape. I'm just interested in maximizing the training output ... and thus not only improving your team (which should always be your main focus imho) but also helping the U21 and later on the National Team ...
Cheers and have a great week-end!

Thanks for helping me, i am new to this game/manager. so your advice helped me. and i am happy to help you make scotlands team better
You're very welcome! Feel free to ask my anything and I'll try to help you as best I can. And I'm amazed at what you did as a new manager ... you managed to train those players better than some managers that have been playing the game way longer than you. But now the development of your player should become even faster ... I'm really looking forward to it!
Cheers and have a great evening,
Wendell

Re: SUP - 221 cm - David Doles (42221835)
Hi Mattaki,
thanks for your continued great training effort with David. He's definitely the key player on this years team and meant to break through the defense of our opponents. It would be great if he didn't play tonight because his minutes look great at the moment.
What are you training him in? I would suggest some 1on1 (Forwards) or, if you still can afford to train him 1 position, some inside-defense (until he reaches 12+ there). Jump shot (Forwards) wouldn't hurt either. But I wouldn't continue training inside shot since he's already close to the limit and with 1on1/ JS (Forwards) he's going to get another pop there sooner or later ...
If you've got any questions, feel free to ask!
Cheers, Wendell

Re: SUP - 221 cm - David Doles (42221835)
Hey Wendell
At the moment im still training inside scoring. As i made mistake , i made David play tonight too for minutes for training.I could change training for next week. And 1 question how much minutes for player is considered enough, is 48 good per week or can go higher ?
mattaki
Hi Mattaki,
you could have changed the training to Rebound and don't let him play yesterday. But ok, it can happen. It's only that I (and you too, I guess) need good gameshape for him. 48 minutes are required for training on the position you're training him in. For good or perfect gameshape, you need to play him between 48 to 70 minutes a week, not more. More than 80 is definitely bad, more than 90 is very, very bad.
If you could change the training, I would first go with some inside-defense 1 position (so that doesn't change that you have to play him 48+ minutes on Center every week). I'd train him there until he reaches a 13/14 ... after that, I'd definitely go 1on1 and JS for forwards. There you need to play him 48+ minutes on SF or PF and you can train up to 6 players every week (normally, 5 I would recommend).
Keep asking if you've got any questions or if I haven't been clear in my explanations
Cheers, Wendell

Hi Wendell
David reached 18 today in inside scoring, but im changing training to inside defense now, let him train in that for some time.
Is Gary any help for nt team, i keep training him too. Maybe, some of my new draftees i should focus on training?
P.s Thank you for all help, cant really find help online.
Cheers, mattaki.
Hi Mattaki,
you're welcome, I'm always happy to help! Gary will become a great help for the NT if you keep training him. He's not there yet but will get there soon enough!
If you want to help the U21 again, you could train Christopher Neish along with Gary and David. And when you switch to 1on1 and JS-Training you can also integrate David MacRaith and Jonathan MacComas ... but that's for later, I guess.
Have a great evening,
Wendell
